COVID-19 resources

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus called 'SARS-CoV-2' (previously referred to as 2019-nCoV).

The World Health Organization (WHO) has compiled further resources in order to provide updated information as clinical findings become available.

To see updated information regarding confirmed cases globally access the WHO Dashboard or the COVID-19 Dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) publishes an African dashboard and has information and updates relevant for the African setting. 

Several members of the PATS Executive Committee have authored the article 'COVID-19 in Africa: Preparing for the storm' published in the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IJTLD)

The Journal of the Pan African Thoracic Society (JPATS) has published several COVID-19 related articles.
