The PATS MECOR course was recently held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Pan African Thoracic Society – Methods in Epidemiologic, Clinical and Operations Research course was successfully held at the White Sands Resort and Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 10 to 14 June 2019.

Students from across Africa attended Levels 1, 2 or 3 over the week in order to strengthen their skills and build capacity for clinical and epidemiological research in lung health on the continent.  Lectures were delivered by African and international faculty who are experts in various aspects of lung health.  PATS continues to support and advance initiatives which address the need for African-based research that will drive the respiratory research agenda in the continent.
