12 November is World Pneumonia Day.
Pneumonia is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in Africa.
Every minute, two children die from pneumonia. Most deaths are in children under two years old. Pneumonia is also the single most common cause of death from infectious disease in the elderly.
But pneumonia is preventable and treatable.
