PATS President Prof Refiloe Masekela was among four global health researchers awarded prestigious NIHR Professorships.

Prof Refiloe Masekela’s research topic is ‘Calling time on avoidable morbidity from asthma in African children’ and her research focuses on improving access to effective and affordable asthma care for children in Africa. She is the first LMIC-based researcher to be awarded an NIHR Global Research Professorship. Congratulations to Prof Masekela for this outstanding achievement.
