The Journal of the Pan African Thoracic Society (JPATS) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Pulmonology (adult and pediatric), Critical Care, Sleep, and Thoracic Surgery.
JPATS aims to be the leading voice in respiratory-related research in Africa through the publication of high quality globally relevant research.

The Second edition of the Global Impact of Respiratory Disease, which PATS contributed to, has been published by the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS).
The report was launched on 25 May 2017 at a side event during the World Health Assembly held in Geneva.

The Global Asthma Report 2022 is the fourth in a series published in 2011, 2014 and 2018. It is a 102-page cutting edge State-of-the-Art report, with contributions from 97 experts from, 31 countries. The focus is on reducing the burden of asthma and improving asthma management.
