The PATS and ERS paediatric webinar series continues with a Sickle cell disease and the lung: current treatment strategies and lung function trajectory webinar on 21 August 2023.

Clinicians in Africa and Europe need to be aware of the pulmonary manifestations of sickle cell disease and on the lung function trajectories in this population of children. Sickle cell disease remains a prevalent condition in parts of Africa. With migrations of populations across the world, paediatricians and paediatric pulmonologists need to be aware of the clinical presentation, spectrum of disease and current literature on lung function trajectories of this condition in paediatric populations in high income and low resource settings.

EDUCATIONAL AIMS

The webinar will address the spectrum of lung diseases, clinical presentation and data on lung function trajectories and management of children with sickle cell disease.
