ATS/PATS Women's leadership Programme 2025

PATS, in partnership with the American Thoracic Society (ATS), is proud to announce the 2025 Women’s Leadership Program application is now open — a transformative initiative created to support and elevate African women in lung health leadership.

This program is open to women who have successfully completed Levels 1 to 3 of the PATS-MECOR research training and are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

Designed to address the ongoing underrepresentation of women in health leadership, this program provides:
– Personalized coaching
– Mentorship from experienced leaders
– Practical tools for resilience and strategic growth

Participants will be equipped to tackle challenges, lead with confidence, and grow into impactful roles within the respiratory health landscape across Africa.

Program Details

Dates: 6–7 September 2025
Location: Kenya, Nairobi (venue to be confirmed)

The program is fully funded covering; return flights, in-country airport transfers and full board accommodation

What to Expect

Only 5 participants will be selected through a competitive process. Those selected will join a year-long blended coaching experience that includes:

  • A 2-day in-person leadership retreat
  • Ongoing virtual coaching and group sessions

Applications close on Sunday, 11 May 2025 at midnight.

Applications are open to members who are current with their membership fees. You will be redirected to the application system where you will need to create a user profile and log in. Once you have logged in you will be able to access the application form to complete.
