BTS PATS TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP 2023

The British Thoracic Society Global Lung Health Group in partnership with the Pan African Thoracic Society is delighted to announce another exciting programme of placements.

Following a successful launch in 2022, these placements provide African colleagues with an opportunity to visit a host hospital in the UK coupled with attendance at the BTS Winter Meeting on 22-24 November 2023. This call is for PATS MECOR level 3 graduates only. We anticipate being able to offer three adult placements focused on either asthma/COPD, complex lung disease, lung cancer, or general respiratory/pleural interventions. BTS will cover travel, accommodation and subsistence costs and the BTS Winter Meeting registration fees. BTS will convene a meeting of the successful applicants and their hosts at the Winter Meeting for experiences and learning to be shared. Successful applicants will be asked to provide a short report about their placement for BTS and PATS and work together to write this up for the Journal of the Pan African Thoracic Society.
